Source for the film PARIS BLUES (1961) starring Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Sidney Poitier, Louis Armstrong, and Diahann Carroll with the soundtrack by Duke Ellington (who was nominated for an Oscar for his score). The film deals with American racism of the time contrasted with Paris's kinder treatment of African Americans. Both the simultaneous paperbound and hardcover issues are uncommon.
