Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Frankfurt am Main: Portikus, 1988. First edition. Scarce. Photographically illustrated wrappers (8.25 x 6 1/2 in, 20.7 x 16.8 cm), np. Approximately 30 pages. With texts by Bice Curiger and Patrick Frey. 24 illustrations (5 in color). Published to accompany their exhibtion of rubber sculptures made of black rubber. From the gallery: "Peter Fischli/David Weiss (born 1952/1946 in Zurich) have been working together continuously since 1979. At Portikus, they exhibit objects from their rubber series, such as vase - woman - root - candle - wall - heart - dog bowl, and others. A recurring motif of their works has always been the defamiliarization of everyday surroundings and common objects, like in this case the use of a commonplace material." Covers minimally rubbed, very light soiling, crown barely bumped, else fine. Internally clean and bright. A very near fine copy of a scarce title.
