Condition: Poor. 1855 printing hardcovers (2 volume set), bound in decorative brown cloth, with gilt lettering on spines, are in Poor condition, having the first volume actually in G condition, with some wear to top and bottom spine, some light staining to back cover, and with light wear to covers, and very slight shaking to volume (noticed in the gutter between the title-page and the preceding page), but interior very good and with a few very light pencil markings in early part, and with normal age-foxing to pages; the second volume's interior is very similar to first volume, but the covers and spine are in terrible shape with much staining and wear, including missing portions of the top of spine and top right corner of back cover. Both volumes would be excellent candidates for re-binding. Illustrated with engravings. With two prefaces by Barnes. Religion. The Old Testament. Judaism. Bible. DB.
