Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. The book has loss to the back end paper caused by hungry insects; the back paste down is also damaged, its inner edge having lost its covering and thus revealing the cardboard. It is still solid, and apart from minor foxing, clean, but it has been read and loved and it shows. What makes this a rare copy is that glued to the verso of the front end paper is a slip of paper: " With good wishes, Ffy yours A.H. Chisholm" There is a Jean Galbraith book plate on the half title page and another slip of paper glued beneath that "With best wishes from W(?)B B-W May 1935." I' assuming it's gone from Chisholm to B-W to Jean Galbraith. Signed by Author(s).
