Soft cover. Condition: Fair-Good. No Jacket. First Thus. An abridged edition of an Albert Campion mystery from the mid 1940s. Mercury Book 49. Large, jagged piece (up to 2.25" x 3") missing from the top of the rear cover. Probably a moisture adhesion tear because there are scrapes around the border of the missing piece plus some smaller scrapes below it. The front cover and interior are in good shape - white, supple pages. Light wear along the edges of the spine. Small closed tear at the top of the front cover. A good to very good copy taken down by a major flaw. A reader or filler.
