New Advance June 1942 Special All-Canada Dominion Day Issue

Original wrappers, 64 pp. Good condition, spine fold rubbed, lower corner of back cover creased. Special issue, Confederation 75 Years After, and other contributions. New Advance was a pro-Soviet magazine (a picture of Stalin appears on p. 28, opposite one of Canadian general A. G. L. McNaughton). Articles include Quebec Hates Hitler, naming Quebecois fascist sympathizers, Streamline Canada's Army, Art for Canada's Sake, etc. Also Illustrations and cartoons. This issue is featured in the Wartime Canada website. Cover is a kind of photomontage with Canadian soldiers inside a maple leaf.
