The book cover is torn on the spine and sun faded and the front cover has a liquid mark over the gilt decoration. There is minor shelf wear to extremities. This copy is bright, tight, white and square. There is a neat copper-plate signature dated 1898 to the title page A dust wrapper is not called for. Almost certainly Frederick Ingle (1839-1912), a high profile architect who died leaving a large estate part of which continues to be run as the Frederick Ingle Charitable Trust. The plate has left an offset to the facing tp. Front hinge loose, former library label to front pastedown, library call number to base of spine, rubs to front cover edges. Pages browned, else a decent, clean copy.
