First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Longman's 1966 Hobbit. This is one of the nicer copies I've seen. Read once condition, clean and crispy. Fading to spine colours. It has a bookplate issued by the school headmaster as a gidft which we find charming, not a flaw. These were sold to schools in particular, thus suffer wear and tear. For many people it was the first edition they read. A must for any collection, rare in this fine condition.
