Soft cover. Condition: Good. circa 1917. Iliffe & Sons Ltd. A small Softcover in Good (for its age) condition. The book is a historic gem. 402 hints and tips provide a glimpse into motorcycling more than a hundred years ago. The book shows the sort of wear one would expect from a book of its age, especially to the edges of the back board and to the hinge joints. Probably due the quality of paper used, as well as the book's age, there is considerable toning to the page block and to certain pages and pages edges. However in terms of marks, underlinings etc. the pages are remarkably clear and unmarked. Notwithstanding a historic repair with sellotape to the rear gutter, the spine and page block remain firm and tight. An intriguing little book and a historical curio.
