In very good black textured black boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are clean and straight, slight collapsed hollow but quite firm; spine ends strong. Slightly tanned end papers; name of previous owner and hospital address on front free end paper. Slightly tanned cut edges. The text block is firm and flat; not tanned, foxed or marked, very good condition. With "1317 illustrations of which 615 are coloured and 52 are x-ray plates". Not annotated. Without jacket. A large 1916 hardback copy of Gray's Anatomy in a slightly poor state as shown in the photos , the original was produced in 1858 , this book has a split on the outer spine and ink stains on the outer edge however pages all appear present and apart from perhaps two loose ones all ate still bound , the colour plates are still bright and the book is readable , has some pencil writing to inner and last pages.

Condition: Fair. 1949. 13th Edition. 1533 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Inscriptions to front pastedown and endpaper. Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with moderate foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed.
