Softcover. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition; First Printing. The true first printing of D. H. Lawrence's novella "The Fox." It was serialized in four installments in the literary magazine "The Dial" in 1922. First book publication was 1923. This is all four issues of "The Dial" in which "The Fox" appears. Combined they are the complete novella. The issues are May, June, July, and August of 1922. The condition of the four issues ranges from VG+ to Fine. All are completely intact with intact wraps. Other contributors to these issues include Yeats, Eliot, Pound, Santayana, Aiken, Crane, Stevens, Crowley, and Hesse. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
