The transcript number, in order of telecast, was compiled and maintained by SECA commencing with the program's move to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in 1971 although the number does not appear in the issue. This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped in New York City on September 28, 1973, and originally telecast on PBS on October 14, 1973. Hosted by William F. Buckley, Jr., the topic was "The Security of Europe"; the guest was Sir Alec Douglas-Home, British Foreign Secretary. The panelists, all from New York University, were: David M. Rubin, Associate Professor of Journalism; Carolyn Etheridge, Assistant Professor of Sociology; and, Christopher Mitchell, Assistant Professor of Politics.
