Matching uniform first Edition hard back binding in publisher's original decorated dark red cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spines, blind tooling and title to the upper panels. 8vo. 7½'' x 5¼''. Contains [xx] 356 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrated tissue guarded frontispiece to both volumes and facing page 278 in Volume I, and 272 in Volume II. A little sun fading down the spine to both volumes, ghosting to the front free end papers, ownership markings and book plates to each front past down. In Very Good condition, no dust wrappers.
