Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. Hardback. A very good copy in a good dustwrapper with some tears to the top edge. Inscribed presentation copy from the author to Sir Compton Mackenzie. (An account of their meeting is at pp.79-81 of the book). Sir Compton has written some page numbers in ink on the rear end-paper (a habit of his) which seem to refer to the pages on which he is mentioned and there is also a little ink side-lining. 156 pages. A study of the English and English literature (with a chapter on Scotland) by an Indian Professor. Inscribed by Author(s).
