Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 2nd Edition. ### English Farming - 1942 - Britain In Pictures by Sir John Russell - 2nd Edition ### ~#~ Here we have a book dating back to 1946/7, Sir John Russell decided that farming was the better option than what he was doing, feeling he had gone the course and there was nothing new, it would be challenging, but he didn?t realise how much. Buildings condemned to rebuild a home to live in, and then the markets crashed. There was a light at the end of the dark tunnel for farming, not what you would expect, and the War produced from the government a new outlook for farmers giving them set prices for their products and asked to increase production for the War. 12 Colour plates and 22 Black and white illustrations make this book a fascinating farming story in wartime. ~#~ THIS BOOK: Not a new book, a little bit bumped the spine is all together but, the green colour has rubbed off. Inside a minor amount of discolouring, colour plates and illustrations are all good -another excellent book on farming and a social history lesson of times gone. ~## #### INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please Note. Due to the recent price increase by the British Postal Service, to be fair to you and me, PLEASE contact me for a shipping quotation. As you know, books are not all the same size, weight, value, and sometimes in multiple volumes. FREE SHIPPING IS ONLY WITHIN THE U.K ####. No Author signature.
