Biography of one of Britains' most famous and successful flat racing jockeys, the late Lester Piggott (1935-2022). As early as 1973, Lester asked Dick Francis to write his story, for "when I retire". This book is a result of conversations between the two taped at intervals over the ensuing years, during which Lester slowly revealed his inner self as to no writer before. Lester has 4493 flat racing career wins, including nine Epsom Derby victories.
