Mass Market Paperback. Condition: Poor. First Paperback Edition. First published by Secker in 1959. This is the first printing of the first paperback edition. Reading creasing to the spine which is rolled and has tearing at the top and bottom. The covers have some edge rubbing and there is some surface discolouration to the rear cover Page edges browned and worn with some creasing to the top corners. The pages through to page 16 are partially detached - not loose but only hanging on by a thread. Three inch tear to page 41 and a small tear to page 13. There is some browning and wear to the pages which are otherwise unmarked.
