About this Item: Rosland Productions then (from vol. 2 no. 2) Top Sellers, London, 1969. Soft Cover. Condition: Good Plus. First Edition. Undated (1969-1971?). 4to. Wraps. 84pp. Illustrated. The issues present are: vol. 1 nos. 6 and 7, vol. 2 nos. 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, and vol. 3 nos. 4, 5, 6, 9. A product of late 1960s permissiveness, 'Cinema X' (an 'International Guide for Adult Audiences') was devoted primarily to the nude scenes in cinema worldwide. Loosely similar to 'Continental Film Review', it has the bonus of colour reproduction and is more clearly a sexploitation magazine. Nonetheless it offers an idiosyncratic document of erotic underground film at the time, and early issues are fairly uncommon. Contents include Jean-Luc Godard on prostitution, Ingmar Bergman, Marlon Brando, Alfred Hitchcock interview, Jane Birkin interview, Shelley Winters, Ingrid Pitt, Steve McQueen interview, Di Leo, Esther Anderson, Rod Steiger, Russ Meyer's 'Vixen', Candice Bergen, and reports of numerous erotic films. Good to very good overall, with some wraps rubbed, a few issues a little curled around the spine from storage, and some hinges gaping a little without much impact. An extra charge for postage might be required. Magazine/Periodical. Seller Inventory # 001670
