Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Blue cloth on boards with bright, as new gilt lettering to spine. Book is tight, square, particularly sharp-cornered and free of markings or flaws inside and out, other than the signture of four of the canoeists from the expedition: Rob Hastings, Roger Huyton, Dave Manby, & John Liddle. The author (Jones) died in 1978 on a canoe trip, just before publication of this. Signed on the FFEP. Unclipped Dust Jacket shows original price and has very little to no scuffing or shelfwear. Book is Fine, DJ is Near Fine. Multiple b/w photos and color photos of the peoples and landscapes. ". . . in 1976 by Mike Jones, a Briton, and his group who had set themselves the objective of setting a record in high-altitude canoeing. Their hearts were set on navigating 80 miles of the frothing Dudh Kosi - from its point of origin on the Khumbu Glacier (altitude 17,500 feet, and also the site of the Everest Base Camp for mountaineering expeditions) to the point downstream where the river meets the Sun Kosi." Book is uncommon, particularly signed. 193 pp. Signed by Author(s).
