Bound in maroon paper-covered boards with lettering in black. Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning to pages. A touch of softness to crown but little wear otherwise. Fairly attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.95), has Some closed edge-tears with tape repairs on the reverse. Tiny nicks and rubbing to edges and folds. Staining to the spine and rear panel. Not perfect but bright, complete and presents well. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. A solid collectable copy of the author's first book.
