Hinchliff, James Tingle, W. Wallis and W. Watkins after the designs by Thomas H. Shepherd. Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (1792 - 1864) was a English watercolor artist well known for his architectural works. Brother of topographical artist George Sidney Shepherd. Thomas was employed to illustrate architecture in London, and later Edinburgh, Bath and Bristol. His paintings were the basis for steel engravings in many books. This plate is engraved by S. Lacey. Condition: Excellent. General age related toning, light shop soiling and light foxing as visible on the scan. Irregular paper edge from binding in left margin.
