    Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st edition thus presumed. Undated. Christmas gift inscription 1922. An edition with this publisher and illustrator was published 1921 (British Library). Quarter bound red cloth spine, paper-covered boards, front decorated and picture Mad Hatter's Tea party. 108pp. 225x175mm. Illustrated profusely in text with black and white drawings, and 6 colour plates including frontispiece, all present, one detached and a little creased, 'The White Rabbit's House'. Rear board soiled. Corners, spine ends and board edges bumped and rubbed with some loss of paper covering. Spine sunned. Three small losses front board and small notch in peripheral decoration, avoiding title and picture. Light tanning endpapers, prelims, and page edges and periphery. Neat black ink inscription ffep, Dec 25th. 1922 as described. No other inscriptions. No drawings coloured-in. Contents clean, firm and in very good condition including other 5 plates.

    Hardcover. Condition: Very good. Mabel Lucie Attwell (illustrator). First thus. 148pp. Quarto [24.5 cm] in glossy pictorial boards over green cloth spine. Spine cocked, extremities rubbed and beginning to peel; light foxing to endpapers, occasional light soiling throughout. 12 color plates and numerous B&W illustrations, illustrated endpapers. British illustrator Mabel Lucie Attwell was known later in her career for depictions of chubby babies. Her work in this "Alice" shows the influence of Jessie Wilcox Smith, as well as the Art Nouveau movement.
