Es wird der Entstehungsweg von Döblins romanpoetologischen Überlegungen nachgezeichnet und aufgezeigt, wie diese in 'Berlin Alexanderplatz' kulminieren. Wie zuvor in seinen theoretischen Schriften, so finden sich auch hier deutliche Bezüge zum Naturalismus, Expressionismus, Futurismus, zu Dada und zur Neuen Sachlichkeit. In Form einer textimmanenten Analyse wurden prägnante Textstellen herausgegriffen und in den jeweiligen stilistischen Zusammenhang der verschiedenen literarischen Bewegungen gestellt. 104 pp. Deutsch.
