He attacks the school system arguing "it was imported from Massachusetts and was designed for a Republican and Unitarian community.". This was denied by the Department of Education.

Presumably speaking before an organization of Civil War veterans, Bishop John Ireland (1838-1918) reflects on patriotism during and after the American Civil War. He had served as chaplain of the Fifth Minnesota Regiment from 1861 to 1863 and later was Chaplain in Chief of the G.A.R. Very scarce. In Good Condition: chipping at edges of wrapper; light soiling on wrapper; otherwise, clean and solid.
