One side is a map of the area prepared by Earl McElfresh; the other side reproduces a historical 1858 map of Adams County that was actually used by both armies in the battle; this side also has a short essay on the battle. MacDonald He is a regular contributor of Civil War articles to Civil War Times Magazine. He has spoken on Civil War mapping at The Smithsonian, The National Archives, The Library of Congress, The New York Public Library, The Boston Public Library.
