The last book, The Western Film Annual 1958, was published in 1958 by Macdonald & Co. Ltd. Each book covered the Western movies released in the previous year.## ## The book is a little grubby, having lost its dust jacket and been read by many Western film fans in the day, clean throughout with black and white and some coloured photos of the stars featured in the 1952 annual.## ## F. Maurice Speed was an English film critic who created two popular publications: What's On in London, a listings magazine that ran from 1935 to 2007, and Film Review, an annual book that covered the movies of each year from 1944 to 2015. He also compiled and edited the Western Film Annual series. He died in 1998 at the age of 87. ## ## Some movies reviewed in the Western Film Annual 1952 are Rawhide, starring Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward; Fort Defiance, starring Dane Clark and Ben Johnson; and Tomahawk, starring Van Heflin and Yvonne De Carlo.
