As New. 8.5" x 5.5" x 0.5" pp.200 . Illustrated hard cover and numerous illustrations and diagrams within the text. ** The Kabbalistic Tree of Life sets out to introduce the principles of the Tree in metaphysical, symbolic and practical terms to illustrate the essence of this key diagram of Kabbalah. Originally, this was the first book by Halevi in the series of Kabbalah. It has now been updated to include a wider scheme of the kabbalistic Tradition in ancient, medieval and modern ways, with added insights given by new illustrations making it relevant to the present time. This book is a study of the metaphysical scheme known as the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, based upon ancient, medieval and modern views of its principles. The structure and dynamic of existence are described in great detail, for instance in the workings of economics, the course of a love affair and the progression of evolution. Such examples reveal how cosmic laws operate throughout the four interconnected Worlds of Jacob's Ladder. Within this scheme, the purpose of humanity is explained in terms of different levels of physical, psychological and spiritual development. We are in part of the interaction of matter, form and creation in a vast process that originates in the Divine Realm. ** Z'ev ben Shimon Halevi is the Hebrew name of Warren Kenton, born in 1933 into a Sephardic Jewish Levite family in England. He has studied the Teaching since he was twenty-five and has visited the major historic sites of the Tradition in Europe, North Africa and Israel. Over this time, he has written sixteen books on the Kabbalah, including a novel. They have been translated into sixteen languages. Besides running courses in Britain, the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Canada, he has taught in ten European countries as well as in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Israel. He is the Principal Tutor of the Kabbalah Society and a Fellow of the Temenos Academy in London. He sees it as his task to clarify Kabbalah and update its mythology and metaphysics in terms of modern science and psychology.
