Utilizing a distinctive folk art style, Rhoads eventually produced over 150 paintings depicting early 20th century life in the Lower Chattahoochee Valley. Her visually vibrant paintings are somewhat reminiscent of the work of Oxford, Mississippi artist Theora Hamblett (1895-1977) but without the religious imagery. If you look closely at the Kissimmee of today, most will agree that it remains a friendly community, a place where it's easy to get acquainted.
