Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Published for the Belgium Ministry of Foreign Affairs probably 1940, although no publication date is stated. There are pull out diagrams for example of troop positions at various stages of the early part of WWII. Clean blue cloth boards with gilt title lettering to the front board and spine. The corner tips of the boards are very slightly knocked and the spine a tad faded. There are no inscriptions and the pages are clean throughout albeit, on close inspection, the prelims are a little toned and the page block edge is a tad speckled (foxed.) The dust jacket is that war time paper which has become rather faded looking with some edge wear and a small chunk missing from both the top of the spine and the top edge of the front cover near the spine. The title lettering on the front is unaffected by this and looks clear and crisp still. The dj is not price clipped and is protected by a removable jacket sleeve. Great copy of a scarce book.

They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples.
