In honor of his 70th birthday, he is paid tribute in this book in prose, poetry and art by a galaxy of men and women of letters including Jack Kerouac, Aaron Siskind, Anthony Burgess, Ralph Eugene Meatyard, Kay Boyle, August Derleth, Simpson Kalisher, Art Sinsabaugh, Thomas Merton, and others. Also sprinkled throughout are portraits of Dahlberg by the likes of Berenice Abbott and Hagemeyer. Byron Dobell (1927-2017) was a painter and the former editor of Book World, Esquire, and American Heritage and a recipient of the ASME Hall of Fame honor. 196 pages; b&w illustrations and photographs throughout; 6 x 9 inches.
