No reading lean to the binding though, and no tears. The back cover is slightly marked. Spine colour is unfaded. Page block edges nice and clean. Internally also very good, with no previous ownership inscriptions, but please note that a previous owner has made a note of their favourite poems and these are listed on the inside front cover, but in pencil, so could be erased if so wished. Emily Dickinson's birth and death dates also in pencil on the half-title page (please see scans).
