A very good copy, for its age, in a similar dust jacket of the first Brockhampton Press hardback edition of this popular children's novel from the 1950s. Dust Jacket: blue laminated paper with colour illustration of a railway station to front and spine, and black line drawing to rear, black lettering to front, and white lettering to spine; very bright and clean, just slight fading to rear; slight rubbing to edges but really in very good condition for it's age; price clipped (now protected). Cover: pale blue cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine; very bright and clean; few visible signs of shelf wear. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; no markings, inscriptions or book plates; some darkening to page edges; otherwise in excellent condition for its age. Illustrated throughout in black and white including frontispiece. 126 pp.
