Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of interconnected letters and journal entries from individuals living in two separate dimensions. In one sphere we find Diocles, a mathematician who experiments with using an aeroplane for wireless communication and begins receiving messages from a woman named Agnes, in another dimension. Agnes, a philosopher devoted to poetry and mathematics, finds herself reincarnated as a woman named Mary James in Diocles' world. The book explores the concept of a fourth dimension, not yet perceived by those living in the third and how its onset brings mental aberrance and social unrest to people lacking the organ necessary to sense and navigate it. The author's use of mathematics illustrates how our physical world determines the limits of our consciousness and how we might evolve into a fuller expression of our consciousness as we evolve to perceive additional dimensions. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
