Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with minor corner bumping and mild crushing to spine ends. Boards are subtly bowed. Faint tanning to spine and edges.

From the undated author's Preface, the book 'gives to the trade a permanent record of The Practical Baker, a comprehensive treatise on bread-making, which ran through The British Baker in serial form. Includes a picture of one of the bakeries on the Queen Mary. Scarce. Size: 8vo.
