Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Jacket by Robert Giusti (illustrator). 1st Edition. First UK edition, first impression. Some edge wear and chipping to top and bottom of jacket and spine, folds and corners rubbed with small loss, some overall yellowing and time staining, not price clipped (36s), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a reasonable copy for its age. 221pp, illustrated, map endpapers. Dr Kip Wagner (1905-72), moved to Florida and started to find silver coins washing up on the beach near his home. This set him off on the quest to find that Spanish Treasure Fleet. After many setbacks and gruelling underwater explorations, including encounters with sharks, they eventually found the priceless treasure of the Spanish Fleet that had gone down in a storm in 1715. Quite a scarce book.
