Condition: Fair. 1953. First Edition. 262 pages. No dust jacket. Dark blue cloth with gilt lettering. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Small sticker to front pastedown. Contains black & white illustrations and plates. Pages are tanned and foxed, however plates remain bright & clear. Text is clear. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine. Gilt lettering has darkened. Book has a slight forward lean. Minor splits causing fraying to cloth at spine ends.
