Illustrated throughout with black/white photographs, woodcuts by Thomas Bewick and his school, and also a six stage diagram on how to tie a stock. Now a Waterstone's bookshop, Simpsons of Piccadilly was reputedly the inspiration behind the hit British TV sit-com "Are you being served?". A lovely period piece.
