Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Margaret W. Tarrant (illustrator). In a grey cloth hardcover with black titles to spine and front and a colour illustration tipped in to front. No dust jacket. Colour illustrated end papers. 344 pp. with 48 colour plates. The book is in good condition. There is minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover. The top corners are bumped, there is minor marking to the back and a small ink splodge to the front. There is very minor damage to the edge of the illustration. The front hinge is beginning to crack and the binding is a little slack. There is light foxing to the reverses of the feps, reverse of the frontispiece and last page of book adverts. There is faint foxing to the fore edge and very occasional minor spots scattered throughout the book. 2 leaves have creased bottom corners. Generally, the pages are clean and unmarked.
