Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a comprehensive visual record and analysis of the development of the human dentition in infancy, childhood, and adolescence, through an unparalleled collection of skiagrams. The author meticulously dissected and photographed the skulls of children aged between a few days old to sixteen years, capturing the teeth and jaws as seen from the side. This method not only allowed for a detailed examination of each tooth's position and development but also revealed the relationship between the teeth and the surrounding structures, including the maxillary sinus. The book provides a unique opportunity to observe the intricate process of tooth formation and replacement. The skiagrams trace the progress of each tooth from its inception as a tiny bud to its eruption and full development. They also highlight the crucial role of the maxillary sinus in the growth and positioning of the teeth. This book will fascinate anyone interested in the human body, dental development, and the history of medical imaging. Its detailed and visually stunning skiagrams offer a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the human mouth and provide valuable insights into the complexities of dental anatomy and growth.
