Rosamond Johnson was an African American composer and singer best known for the song "Lift Every Voice and Sing," which he wrote with his brother James Weldon Johnson. There are a few different versions of this tune, some with the subtitle, "Rambling Rose of the Wildwood," but this version has the most striking cover we've seen.
