Sm 8vo, orig. dark green blindblocked cloth, excellent condition for its age, xxviii (mainly preface by Henry Melvill) + 293 pp., ex Llandaff Cathedral library with 2 bookplates, and earlier bookplate of Bishop Alfred Ollivant. This book was first puiblished in 1681 & criticises what was later called Low-church principles, and dismisses Dissenters as schismatics, but Sherlock is also critical of the national church as slack and failing in much of its duty.
