The three-volume first complete English edition of Muthesius"s foundational study of English domestic architecture that helped shape modern design theory, with original dust wrappers and slipcase. In the publisher's original cloth bindings with gilt, complete with the original unclipped dust wrappers and housed in the original pictorial paper covered slipcase. These volumes are the first complete English editions. His work examines the English house in all its aspects divided into three volumes: Volume I: Development, Volume II: Layout and Construction, and Volume III: The Interior. Muthesius cover all aspects of the tradition English house, from planning, construction, and craftsmanship to furniture, gardens, and the philosophy of domestic life.
