La lectura de una composición del señor Pernil, dio motivo a un formidable escándalo, pues mientras el público no ultraísta, lo reputaba como la muestra más exacta de la nueva escuela, los afiliados a ésta, la repudiaron indignados.

Esta publicación recoge en una carpeta los dos números de la revista CANNIBALE publicados por Francis Picabia en abril y mayo de 1920, en versión facsímil traducida al castellano y el estudio introductorio del profesor José Antonio Sarmiento. Con este proyecto, Picabia abandona la estrategia que había empleado en la revista 391, para ofrecer una visión más radical del dadísmo tal como se expone en su Manifiesto Caníbal, también recogido en el estudio introductorio. A través de breves comentarios, y sobre todo de frases sueltas, Picabia cuestiona el mercantilismo en el arte y la vigencia del cubismo, ridiculizando incluso a algunos de sus integrantes. Su menosprecio a la pintura moderna queda patente en su Cuadro Dadá, que reproduce en una de las páginas de la revista. La composición consiste en un mono de peluche fijado a una tela rodeado de las siguientes inscripciones: "Retrato de Cézanne - Retrato de Rembrandt - Retrato de Renoir - Naturalezas muertas". Ese mismo año, en mayo, Picabia deja de publicar la revista. Fui a ver al señor Ephraim el propietario de La Lechería y le dije: Por favor, señor Ephraim, deme su sala. Quiero abrir un cabaret. El señor Ephraim estuvo de acuerdo y me dio la sala. Y fui al encuentro de algunos conocidos y les rogué: Por favor, deme un cuadro, un dibujo, un grabado. Quiero unir una pequeña exposición a mi cabaret. Fui a la amable prensa zuriguense y le rogué: Publiquen ustedes algunas notas. Se abrirá un cabaret internacional. Queremos hacer bellas cosas. Y me dieron cuadros y publicaron mis notas. El 5 de febrero teníamos un cabaret. Mde. Hennings y Mde. Leconte cantaron canciones francesas y danesas. El señor Tristan Tzara recitó versos rumanos. Una orquesta de balalaika tocó preciosas canciones populares rusas y bailes. Mucho apoyo y simpatía encontré en el señor Slodki que ideó el cartel del cabaret, en el señor Hans Arp que puso a mi disposición junto a trabajos propios, algunos Picassos y me gestionó cuadros de sus amigos O. van Rees y Artur Segall. Mucho apoyo de parte de Tristan Tzara, Marcel Janco y Max Oppenheimer que se declararon a gusto dispuestos a actuar en el cabaret. Organizamos una Soirée RUSA y poco después una francesa (con obras de Apollinaire, Max Jacob, André Salmón, A. Jarry, Laforgue y Rimbaud). El 26 de febrero vino Richard Huelsenbeck de Berlín y el 30 de marzo ofrecimos una maravillosa música de negros (toujours avec la grosse caisse: boum boum boum boum ¿ drabatija mo gere drabatja mo bonooooooooooooooo-) Monsieur Laban asistió a la función y estaba entusiasmado. Y por iniciativa del señor Tristan Tzara, los señores Tzara, Huelsenbeck y Janco presentaron (por primera vez en Zúrich y en todo el mundo) versos simultáneos de los señores Henri Barzun y Fernand Divoire, así como un poema simultáneo de composición propia, que está impreso en la página 6 y 7. El pequeño cuaderno que hoy publicamos lo debemos a nuestra iniciativa y a la ayuda de nuestros amigos en Francia, ITALIA y Rusia. Debe caracterizar la actividad y los intereses del cabaret, que pone toda su intención en recordar, más allá de las guerras y de las patrias, a los pocos independientes que viven otros ideales. La próxima meta de los artistas aquí reunidos es la publicación de una revista internacional. La revista saldrá en Zúrich y llevará el nombre DADA ( Dada ) Dada Dada Dada Dada. HUGO BALL. El libro salió al año siguiente, en 1923, con el título de "Para la voz", con una selección realizada por el propio autor de trece poemas publicados desde 1913. El devenir personal de Maiakovski frente a los acontecimientos que, a un ritmo vertiginoso, se producían en Rusia, aparece reflejado en su libro a través de un lenguaje en el que se exalta el nuevo orden social. El paso dado por Maiakovski hacia una poesía accesible a un público mayoritario fue cuestionado por algunos poetas de su generación, como es el caso de Ósip Mandelshtam. A pesar del cambio radical en su forma de concebir la poesía, Maiakovski siguió produciendo de manera esporádica poemas amorosos y líricos. Esta poesía de sentimientos también aparece recogida en esta antología. Maiakovski concibe "Para la voz" junto al pintor y diseñador El Lisitski, que interviene como "proyectista del libro", como una partitura que se convierte en un instrumento necesario para sus recitales. A pesar de que sus composiciones mantienen la secuencia lineal propia de los libros de poesía, El Lisitski rompe con esta uniformidad introduciendo al comienzo de cada poema un dispositivo visual que va acompañado de una pestaña que, juntas, conforman el índice.
