Die früher häufigpraktizierte Wait-and-See-Strategie, die auf der Annahme basiert, dass der Rückstandvon selbst aufgeholt wird, ist heutzutage wissenschaftlich nicht mehr vertretbar (Buschmannet al., 2008). In Anbetracht der weitreichenden und gravierenden Folgen einerSprachentwicklungsstörung ist eine frühe Identifizierung der Risikokinder von immenserBedeutung, um Maßnahmen zur Prävention oder zur Therapie einzuleiten.Heute machen es diagnostische Methoden möglich, die von einer stark verzögertenSprachentwicklung gefährdeten Kinder in einem Alter von circa 2 Jahren zu erkennen.Für diese Kinder hat Frau Dr. Buschmann mit dem 2008 veröffentlichten HeidelbergerElterntraining (HET) eine elternzentrierte Frühintervention vorgestellt, deren kurz- undmittelfristige Effektivität bereits überprüft und bestätigt wurde (Buschmann, Jooss &Pietz, 2009).In dieser Arbeit wird nun die langfristige Effektivität des Heidelberger Elterntrainingsuntersucht.
