Seller: The Bark of the Beech Tree, Depoe Bay, OR, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. A perfectly nice little pocket edition of the best of Brooke's poetry, ending with "The Soldier". The frontispiece portrait, with tissue guard, of Brooke is from the 1913 photograph by Scherril Schell. Four pages of publisher's ads describing other books of Brooke's poetry bring up the rear. First published in 1917, this is an 8th impression from 1925. It seems that the free front endpaper has been removed and the gutter strengthened with bits of sticky labels. The endpapers are browned and the cloth just a tad worn at extremities, but a very good copy.
