Paperback. [233]p., illustrated with sketched impressions, period photographs, caricatures and facsimiles, presswork on glazed alkaline paperstock and softbound in 7.5x5 inch decorated wraps. A soundly bound perfectly squared-away copy with covers that were "preserved" with a neatly-applied layer of onlaid translucent plastic (to slightly bizarre effect). At the head of the spine an inch-long chip of this stuff has disappeared, and the lowest front-cover corner-tip has chipped away, paper and all. Text and graphic beneath this preservative layer remain fully legible though the plastic is heavily textured; there is some toning round the margins. Top edge shows that the sewn signatures were very neatly opened throughout - the former owner knew his business. Slightly weird, so "as-is", but a decent copy nonetheless.
