No number or publication date. 60th thousand stated on the front cover with a price of 1/6 - the first printing had number 65 and 35th thousand. Originally published in hard covers by Hutchinson in 1937. Quite rare in any edition. One inch tears to the spine next to the front cover at the top and bottom and the spine has some edge wear. Quite heavy browning to the front cover. The back cover has a mark to the top left corner and a one inch crease to the bottom left corner. Browning to the page edges with creasing to the top corners of several pages. The pages are browned but are otherwise unmarked. First printing. No jacket.
