All 3 sides of page edges marble effect. b/w frontis engraving ( J Cleghorn) Illustrations from original drawings by a French Artist. 12 engravings on steel, 18 wood-cuts. Condition: wear on spine, seams, covers, edges + corners. See my pic. o/p period personal owner label. Slight cracking down seam, binding holding firmly. Internally clean, little wear, good colour, binding firm. Overall for age GC.

1833, London, Baldwin and Cradock, ppxvi + 364, half calf over marbled boards, gilt decoration in compartments, red and black labels lettered in gilt. Some internal foxing, otherwise very good.
