The book is quite uniique in that the first 77 pages are written in English, with an English index. The remaining 100 pages, are numbered afresh, with the entire text written in Japanese, starting with that section's own title page. Externally, the front of the book has English words, while the spine wording is all in Japanese. The author genuinely inscribed and signed the blank page facing the title page. Photos upon request. His distinctive 'sporting' bookplate is affixed to the inside front board, and this copy is inscribed on the half-title page to 'Rev. C. W. Gordon / with good wishes from / the Author / A. W. Pearse / 19/6/35'. Book a bit rubbed at spine ends and tips, else clean, tight, and in very good condition. The publisher's dust jacket is present, although sunned and chipped with several small closed tears and a small stain across the rear panel; else in fair to good condition.
