In two volumes, engraved frontispieces and seven other illustrations Vol. 1; xxx, 359pp. contains a table of contents for volume one and a list of plates for both volumes, Vol. 2; iv table of contents, 456pp. A history of the Cape of Good Hope Colony, its inhabitants, religion beliefs, and how to deal with the Convict systems in Southern Africa. The author also proves who started the Kaffir war. A very good set, though ex-library with embossed library stamp and withdrawn stamp to recto of frontispieces, they were tastefully rebound in light brown cloth, double red leather labels gilt, some scattered foxing the frontispieces.
